SK Chairman: The AI track requires a massive amount of continuous investment.
When asked about the most worrying risk factors in the next five years, Cui Taiyuan specifically mentioned geopolitical risks and funding supply issues. He stated, "Sudden geopolitical events can easily drive up energy prices; if the AI industry encounters various unexpected impacts during its development, even if it is only short-term, it will cause the industry to lose momentum." On the funding side, he admitted, "The AI race requires a huge amount of continuous investment, and if the funding supply cannot keep up, the current strong industry development momentum will fade." Cui Taiyuan explained, "The reason why we face this kind of pressure is fundamentally because artificial intelligence technology is not yet mature at this stage. It is expected that in about five years, AI technology will mature and stabilize, with significantly improved reliability, which will significantly boost overall social production efficiency and kickstart a virtuous industrial cycle."
