China Eastern Airlines: It is expected to lose 1.8-2.4 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, compared to a loss of 1.431 billion yuan in the same period last year.
China Eastern Airlines announced that it is expected to report a net loss attributable to shareholders of the listed company of approximately RMB -2.4 billion to -1.8 billion in the first half of 2026, compared to a loss of RMB 1.431 billion in the same period last year. It is expected that the net profit after deducting non-recurring losses and gains will be approximately RMB -3.3 billion to -2.7 billion, compared to a non-recurring net profit of RMB -1.759 billion in the same period last year. The main reason for the expected loss is the significant increase in aviation fuel prices due to geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East, leading to a substantial increase in costs.
