Yedongkang, former member of the party committee and deputy director of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guizhou Province, has been expelled from the party and dismissed from public office.

According to the information from the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has initiated an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Ye Dongxiang, a former member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. After investigation, Ye Dongxiang was found to have lost his ideals and beliefs, deviated from his original mission, disregarded the spirit of the eight-point regulations from the central government, accepted gifts and hospitality that could potentially affect the fair execution of public duties, concealed personal information, misused his influence to benefit relatives in personnel matters, failed to uphold integrity, neglecting his work responsibilities, illegally embezzled public funds, and used his authority for personal gain in project contracting and acceptance, as well as accepting a large amount of illegal gains. Ye Dongxiang's actions seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and work discipline, constituting serious violations of duty and suspected of corruption and bribery crimes. His behavior has been unremorseful and severe since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with a serious and detrimental impact, and therefore requires severe punishment. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Regulation on Party Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", and the "Administrative Punishment Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China", the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection submitted a proposal to the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee for approval, and subsequently decided to expel Ye Dongxiang from the Party, remove him from public office, confiscate his ill-gotten gains from the violations, and transfer the suspected criminal activities to the procuratorate for further investigation and prosecution, with all related assets.
