In June, China's goods trade import and export totaled 4.78 trillion yuan, up 24.2% year-on-year, maintaining growth for 17 consecutive months.

On the morning of July 14th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the import and export situation in the first half of 2026. According to customs statistics, in the first half of this year, China's total merchandise trade import and export volume reached 25.47 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%. Among them, exports were 14.73 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.4%, while imports were 10.74 trillion yuan, an increase of 22.1%. In the second quarter, the import and export volume reached 13.61 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%, the highest quarterly year-on-year growth rate since the third quarter of 2021. In June, the import and export volume was 4.78 trillion yuan, an increase of 24.2%, marking 17 consecutive months of growth.
