As the first international ship registration service center jointly built by the central and local governments in the country, the Shenzhen International Ship Registration Service Center has achieved significant development since its physical operation in Qianhai six months ago. Currently, the number of ships registered under the "China Qianhai" flag has reached 32, ranking among the top three in the country's free trade zones; a total of 93 ship leasing SPVs have been established, managing 118 leased ships, with total ship leasing assets exceeding 24 billion yuan. Leading shipping companies are accelerating their gathering, with many enterprises such as COSCO Shipping, China Merchants Shipping, and Hai Feng Holdings among others already establishing businesses in Qianhai, Shenzhen. Hong Kong-owned shipping enterprises such as Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings and Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings are continuously expanding their presence in Qianhai, while domestic leading shipping financial service providers such as China Development Bank Leasing, Huaxia Financial Leasing, and CITIC Financial Leasing have successively settled in. Leveraging a high-quality industrial ecosystem, the clustering effect of the Qianhai shipping industry continues to manifest. Qianhai has now gathered more than 600 shipping enterprises and over 400 shipping support service enterprises, with 15 Fortune 500 companies such as COSCO Shipping, China Merchants Group, and DHL establishing 77 shipping service entities in Qianhai. At the same time, industry leaders like Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world's largest container shipping company, and Intercontinental Shipping, China's largest third-party ship management service provider, have also settled in Qianhai.
