A South Korean court bans two former Samsung employees from joining SK Hynix.
The South Korean court has partially approved Samsung Electronics' request to ban two former NAND flash design employees from working at SK Hynix. The Suwon District Court ordered that the two former Samsung employees may not work for SK Hynix or its affiliates until April 30, 2027. Samsung sought to enforce a two-year non-compete agreement, but the court shortened the period to 18 months. The court stated that the NAND flash design technology involved is a national core technology. These two employees worked in Samsung's memory division for about 10-11 years before jumping to SK Hynix in February of this year.
