Recently, Baosteel and Northern Rare Earth have both lowered their third quarter prices. The trading price of rare earth concentrates in the third quarter has been adjusted to 38,600 yuan per ton, a decrease of 0.62% compared to the previous quarter. Prior to this, the trading prices of rare earth concentrates from Northern Rare Earth and Baosteel had been continuously raised for seven consecutive quarters. Industry insiders believe that this slight decrease can to some extent alleviate the raw material cost pressure on midstream magnet material manufacturers. Although the seven consecutive increases have ended, the core supply and demand situation remains unchanged, and it is highly likely that rare earth prices will remain volatile at high levels.
