Yunnan Qujing police report that a cement tanker truck rollover accident resulted in 6 deaths

On July 12, the police in Fuyuan County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province, issued a police report: At 8:09 am on July 11, 2026, the Fuyuan County Public Security Bureau received a report from the public that a road traffic accident occurred in Laochang Town. After receiving the report, the public security organs, together with emergency, medical and other departments, quickly rushed to the scene to carry out rescue, investigation, and disposal work. After investigation, it was found that at around 8 am on July 11, Liu drove a cement tanker truck and overturned during an encounter with a small car driven by Li, causing the tank to crush the small car. The accident resulted in the death of 6 people in the small car. Currently, Liu has been lawfully detained by the public security organs. Testing has ruled out suspicions of drunk driving or driving under the influence of drugs. The investigation and post-accident response work is being carried out in an orderly manner.
