In the first half of the year, the scale of China's innovation drug out-licensing has reached close to that of the entire previous year.

At the Beijing-Changping Life Science Forum on the 12th, the person in charge of the Drug Registration Management Department of the National Medical Products Administration disclosed the latest "report card" of China's innovative drug development. According to statistics from the National Medical Products Administration, China is expected to approve 76 innovative drugs by 2025. Despite the record high number of approvals, of the 11 new drugs with new targets and mechanisms approved that year, only 4 were domestically produced. This means that the number of domestically produced first-time innovative drugs approved this year has exceeded the total for the previous year and is expected to reach a new high.
