Hangzhou and Ningbo metro network will be temporarily suspended, and certain sections of Nanjing metro, including the ground and elevated lines, will be temporarily halted.
Affected by this year's 9th typhoon "Bavi", the entire ground and elevated sections of the Nanjing Metro network have suspended operations since July 12. The announcement issued by Nanjing Metro Group early that day stated that the resumption time would be notified separately. According to the orange typhoon warning issued by the Nanjing Meteorological Bureau at 00:02 on the 12th, it is expected that the maximum gusts in the city could reach 9-10 levels on land and 10-12 levels on the water surface on the 12th, and may be accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall. At 1 o'clock that day, the Nanjing Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters raised the emergency response for typhoons to Level II, reminding citizens not to go out unnecessarily. In addition, Hangzhou Metro Group took measures to stop operations on the entire network from 6:00 on July 12. From 12:00 on July 11, the elevated sections and some underground stations of Lines 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Ningbo Metro were suspended, with the entire network suspended from 19:00. Hangzhou and Ningbo respectively raised the emergency response for typhoons to Level I at 18:00 on July 11 and 21:00 on July 10. In the late night of July 11 and early morning of the 12th, "Bavi" landed twice on the coasts of Yuhuan Kanmen in Taizhou and Qingjiang Town in Yueqing, Wenzhou, Zhejiang. During the two landings, the maximum wind speeds near the center reached 13 levels, making it the strongest typhoon to land in China this year.
