API bill exceeds total staff wages. Overseas companies speeding up embrace of the large Chinese market: cost-effectiveness dominates model selection.

Reporters interviewed several overseas companies, including the American AI startup Lindy, the Estonian data collection company Floxy, the AI vehicle intelligent analysis company VINspectorAI, the Canadian law firm Substance Law, and the British online education platform ExpertEdge. Several executives revealed that after migrating to large models in China, the inference cost decreased by 30% to 95%. At the same time, compared to American competitors, the performance gap of Chinese AI large models continues to narrow to 1% to 4%, while prices are as much as 60% to 90% lower.
