French telecom tycoon could become Vodafone's largest shareholder in the UK

On the 10th, the United Arab Emirates Telecom Company announced that it will sell all of its approximately 16% stake in Vodafone to the investment institution Vega controlled by French telecommunications tycoon Xavier Niel, with a total transaction amount of approximately 4.4 billion pounds. Once the transaction is completed, Vega will become the largest shareholder of Vodafone, the largest mobile communications operator in the UK.
