According to the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as of the week of July 7, speculators on the New York Mercantile Exchange reduced their net long positions in gold by 1,964 contracts, bringing net long positions down to 114,854 contracts; copper speculators reduced their net long positions by 970 contracts, bringing net long positions down to 60,397 contracts; and silver speculators reduced their net long positions by 616 contracts, bringing net long positions down to 12,131 contracts.
