National Immigration Administration: In the first half of the year, immigration management agencies across the country inspected a total of 369 million inbound and outbound persons, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year, reaching a record high.
According to the Securities Times app, on July 10, the National Immigration Administration held a press conference to release the main data on immigration management in the first half of 2026. In the first half of the year, the total number of people entering and leaving the country checked by immigration management agencies nationwide reached 369 million, up 10.8% year-on-year, setting a new historical high. Among them, mainland residents accounted for 176 million, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents accounted for 147 million, and foreigners accounted for 45.906 million, increasing by 10.7%, 8.1%, and 20.6% respectively compared to the same period last year. The number of foreign nationals entering the country reached 22.914 million, an increase of 20.4% year-on-year, showing a rapid growth trend. Among them, 17.815 million foreign nationals entered the country without a visa, accounting for 77.7% of all foreign nationals entering the country, an increase of 30.6% year-on-year. The top ten countries for foreign visitors entering the country are South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, the United States, Japan, Mongolia, and Australia, accounting for 62% of all foreign nationals entering the country.
