The International Shipping Center Development Index shows that Shanghai has jumped to second place globally.
The "Xinhua Baltic International Shipping Center Development Index Report" released on July 10 showed that Shanghai has surpassed London for the first time and has risen to the second place in terms of comprehensive strength in the shipping center globally, breaking the top three rankings that were maintained for six years. The report, released for 13 consecutive years, is an influential evaluation system in the international shipping field. The index evaluates 43 international shipping center cities worldwide through three dimensions: port conditions, shipping services, and overall environment. The top ten global shipping centers by 2026 are: Singapore, Shanghai, London, Hong Kong, Dubai, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Rotterdam, New York-New Jersey, Athens-Piraeus, Hamburg.
