China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) helped the country successfully carry out the first sea-based rocket recovery.
According to China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), on July 10, 2026, the CZ-10B carrier rocket completed a soft landing in the designated area of the South China Sea and was successfully captured, marking the first successful sea-based recovery mission of a rocket in China. CASIC served as the overall unit for the recovery system and was responsible for the joint design, manufacturing, supply of main equipment, and installation and debugging of the system.
