Journalists learned from the Ministry of Emergency Management that according to the "National Emergency Plan for Sudden Geological Disasters" and relevant regulations, the Ministry of Emergency Management initiated a Level III emergency response for geological disasters in Zhejiang and Fujian on July 10, and sent working groups to guide the prevention and response work for geological disasters. According to the meteorological department's forecast, due to the impact of Typhoon "Bavi" (the 9th typhoon of the year), from July 10 to 13, there will be heavy to torrential rain in southern Zhejiang, northeastern Fujian, and other areas, with locally severe to extremely severe rainfall. After joint consultation and assessment by the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Ministry of Natural Resources, there is a high risk of geological disasters in southeastern Zhejiang and northeastern Fujian. The Ministry of Emergency Management has requested that relevant areas affected by Typhoon "Bavi" must effectively carry out geological disaster prevention and response work, clarify the responsibilities of local prevention and response entities, strengthen departmental coordination and linkage mechanisms, closely monitor rainfall, flooding, and geological disaster risks, strengthen consultation and assessment, warning response linkage, pre-position rescue forces, materials, equipment, and reinforce inspection, surveying, monitoring, and warning, resolutely organize evacuations, ensure timely and comprehensive evacuations, and maximize the prevention of casualties.
