The transport volume at the Erenhot railway port in Inner Mongolia has exceeded 10 million tons.

The reporter learned from the railway department that since the beginning of this year, the transportation volume at the Erenhot Port on the Inner Mongolia-Erenhot Railway has steadily increased. As of July 9th, the import and export volume for the year has reached 10.0289 million tons, achieving the milestone of 10 million tons 17 days ahead of last year, representing a year-on-year growth of 9.5%. Among them, the import cargo volume is 8.3482 million tons, an increase of 7.0% year-on-year; the export cargo volume is 1.6807 million tons, an increase of 23.8% year-on-year. Since the beginning of this year, the railway department has continuously optimized transportation organization, coordinated with Mongolia to improve the structure of wide-gauge inbound vehicle flow, expanded the use of open-top containers between China and Mongolia, deepened cooperation with border inspection and customs, strengthened data exchange, effectively improving the efficiency of customs clearance and transportation at the port.
