The city of Hangzhou has raised its typhoon emergency response level to level III.
At 9:00 today, the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government Flood Control, Typhoon Prevention and Drought Resistance Headquarters raised the emergency response for typhoon prevention to level III. Due to the impact of Typhoon "Bavi", strong winds and rainfall will occur in Hangzhou starting tonight. Please make necessary preparations in advance. The Hangzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a typhoon message at 8:50 on July 10th: Typhoon "Bavi", the 9th typhoon of this year, is currently located at a position about 1292 kilometers southeast of Hangzhou in the ocean with maximum wind force near the center reaching 14 levels and minimum pressure of 955 hectopascals. It is expected that "Bavi" will move in a north-northwest direction at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour with no significant changes in intensity, possibly passing over the northern coast of Taiwan on the 11th day and making landfall along the coast of Zhejiang's Wenling to Fujian's Fuqing on the night of the 11th.
