On July 10th, MiniMax completed a new round of financing of 16 billion Hong Kong dollars. According to the announcement, the company plans to use 80% of the net proceeds for continuing to strengthen AI infrastructure and model research and development. On the same day, MiniMax's founder and CEO, Yan Junjie, announced in an internal all-staff letter that from that day onwards, until the day the company achieves AGI, he will no longer receive any salary from the company. Over the next four years, he will allocate a personal share equivalent to 4% of the total share capital of the company to incentivize team members who work alongside the company in creating value; at the same time, he will allocate 1% of the shares to establish a special fund to support the development of related open source communities.
