The National Immigration Administration held a press conference, where it was announced that in the first half of the year, immigration authorities nationwide had checked a total of 20.84 million entries and exits of transportation vehicles, an increase of 17.1% compared to the previous year. This included 490,000 flights, 56,000 train trips, 229,000 ship voyages, and 2,006,800 motor vehicles, with year-on-year increases of 1%, 5.7%, 4.6%, and 17.8% respectively. In addition, 10.392 million ordinary passports were issued, 49.585 million endorsements for residents of Mainland China to travel to Hong Kong and Macao were issued, and 1.104 million passes for residents of Hong Kong and Macao to travel to Mainland China were issued. A total of 991,000 foreign visas were issued.
