Sichuan initiates level four emergency response for natural disasters and allocates 6,000 items of supplies to support Yibin.

On July 8th, two 5.0 magnitude earthquakes occurred successively in Gaoxian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. According to the "Sichuan Province Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan", combined with the current disaster situation and development trend, the Sichuan Provincial Committee for Disaster Reduction and Relief Office has decided to activate the fourth-level emergency response for natural disaster relief in Sichuan Province. Currently, Sichuan Province has allocated 6,000 tents, summer cool quilts, folding beds, emergency flashlights and other disaster relief supplies to support local relief efforts.
