The "Super Node and GW-Level AIDC Technology Forum and OpenAI Infra Community Semi-Annual Work Conference" guided by the Global Computing Alliance and hosted by the OpenAI Infra Community (OAII Community) was held in Beijing recently. At the conference, Huawei, in conjunction with China Mobile Research Institute, JD Cloud, Baidu, China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute, and more than 20 industry chain partners, jointly launched the OPEN NPO project and initiated the domestic first NPO optical interconnect MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) to promote the construction of an open and unified near-package optical standard system, accelerate the innovation of next-generation high-speed optical interconnect technology, and provide key support for the development of high-end compute infrastructure for the AI era. The launch of the first domestic NPO optical interconnect MSA will further improve the open standard collaboration mechanism in the field of near-package optics in China to provide important support for building an independent and open high-speed optical interconnect industry ecosystem.
