The data released by the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China on July 9th showed that in June 2026, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China guided national and local internet reporting departments and major website platforms to handle 17.874 million reports of illegal and harmful information such as pornography, gambling, infringement, rumors, etc., a decrease of 0.7% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 3.4% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China handled 682,000 reports, local internet reporting departments handled 623,000 reports, and major website platforms nationwide handled 16.569 million reports. The Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China stated that major website platforms across the country are continuously improving reporting channels and handling citizen reports. It welcomes all internet users to actively participate in comprehensive internet governance and jointly maintain a clear cyberspace.
