The National Election Committee of Peru announced that Keiko Fujimori has been elected as president.

The National Election Commission of Peru officially announced the results of the presidential election on July 3rd local time. Keiko Fujimori, the candidate of the People's Power Party, won the election with 50.135% of the valid votes in the second round of the presidential election. The elected president will be sworn in on the 28th of this month and will serve a term of 5 years.
