Minmetals Resources (01208): The final deadline for completing the conditions for the acquisition of the Anglo American nickel business has been extended to October 31st.

Wisdom Financial News APP, Minmetals Resources (01208) announced that it has conditions to acquire the nickel business of Anglo American Resources in Brazil (acquisition matters) and the merger control review by the European Commission on November 5, 2025. The company and Anglo American Resources must wait for a number of pre-conditions to be fulfilled or exempted before the completion of the acquisition matters. These conditions include: obtaining merger control approvals in multiple jurisdictions; acceptance of the declaration related to the acquisition matters by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China (NDRC); and acceptance of the declaration related to the acquisition matters by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. Since all other conditions have been met, the European Commission has extended the review to a second phase review. The time required for the completion of the review by the European Commission has not been determined. According to the share purchase agreement, the final deadline for fulfilling the conditions has been extended to June 30, 2026 (final deadline). After the final deadline, either party can choose to terminate the agreement. The parties have agreed to extend the final deadline to October 31, 2026.
