Dutch International: Expected Limited Downward Trend in the US Dollar
Francesco Pesole of the Netherlands International Group stated in a report that after the release of the weaker-than-expected US non-farm payrolls report on Thursday, the US dollar is unlikely to enter a sustained downward trend. He said that the data itself is not weak enough to trigger a significant repricing of bets on the Fed's interest rate hikes. Although the market has lowered expectations for imminent tightening policies, there is still an expectation of a hike of over 25 basis points reflected in the expectations for December. The DXY dollar index fell by 0.2% to 100.691, and the Netherlands International Group expects the index to stabilize within the range of 100.0-101.500 in the coming weeks.
