Recently, the third main transformer expansion project of Quzhou Xiajin 500 kV substation was successfully completed, marking the completion of all peak load and summer peak electricity network projects in Zhejiang Province this year. Among them, three ultra-high voltage substations were put into operation in the first half of the year, breaking the record of ultra-high voltage engineering construction in Zhejiang in recent years. After the summer, electricity demand in Zhejiang has been steadily increasing, reaching a peak of 1.12 billion kilowatts so far; once the rainy season ends, the hot weather will spread throughout, and the total electricity consumption in society will see a new round of significant increase. It is predicted that the highest electricity demand in Zhejiang this summer may reach 1.42 billion kilowatts. Therefore, Zhejiang has planned ahead and accelerated the construction of a batch of key power grid projects before the hot summer arrives. Since last year's peak load and summer peak, the province's newly added installed capacity of power generation has exceeded 20 million kilowatts, pooling enough resources for the peak electricity demand during high temperatures.
