The 16th Chinese Arctic Expedition Team set sail.

On July 3, the 16th Chinese Arctic Expedition organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources set sail from Dalian, Liaoning Province with the research vessels "Xuelong," "Xuelong 2," and "Polaris" to the Arctic Ocean. This is the first Arctic expedition organized and implemented by China in the initial year of the 11th Five-Year Plan. The above three ships, along with the "Exploration III" ship, will jointly carry out the expedition and are expected to complete the mission by early October.
