On July 2nd local time, German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon announced the official opening of its global largest power semiconductor factory, Smart Power Fab, located in Dresden, Germany. The production started several months ahead of schedule. With a total investment of 5 billion euros, this project is the largest single investment in Infineon's history and one of the largest investment projects in Germany in recent years.
