DJI has fully upgraded its patent rights protection for Yingshi, with a new domestic lawsuit about to begin hearing.
According to sources, DJI had already filed a lawsuit against Yuneec in multiple people's courts in China several weeks ago for alleged patent infringement of the Luna series products. Some of the courts are about to begin hearings. Currently, DJI has filed patent infringement lawsuits against Yuneec in multiple people's courts in China, and the hearings will be held soon. In these lawsuits, DJI accuses Yuneec of infringing on its several invention patents, including handheld gimbal and control methods, shooting methods and storage media based on handheld gimbals, detachable control devices, gimbal devices and their control schemes, etc. According to sources, DJI is determined to protect its rights. In response to the escalation of domestic rights protection, DJI has requested the courts to order Yuneec to immediately cease all infringing activities, including but not limited to manufacturing, selling, promising to sell the accused infringing products, and to compensate DJI for the economic losses and related legal expenses suffered due to the infringement. In addition, as multiple domestic courts begin to hold hearings, DJI's patent rights protection actions against Yuneec will enter the substantive judicial review stage. According to public information, the case accepted by the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court of Guangdong Province will be heard on August 3rd.
