The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Grossi, stated on the 2nd that recent drone attacks near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant have endangered the plant's emergency response capability, and such attacks are "unacceptable". Grossi stated in a statement from the International Atomic Energy Agency that the agency's team stationed at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant confirmed this week that a fire station near the town of Enerhodar had been severely damaged. The fire station is crucial for ensuring the plant's emergency response capability, as it provides important backup support for the plant's own fire brigade in the event of a large-scale emergency at the nuclear power plant. The statement said that the drone attack occurred on June 30th, and the next day the team from the International Atomic Energy Agency went to the site to inspect it, finding that the fire station building and several fire trucks had been damaged, severely weakening the operational capacity of the fire station. Grossi warned, "Any attack that damages nuclear safety and emergency capabilities is unacceptable."
