Spot gold rose more than 2% on non-farm payroll day.

On Thursday afternoon in New York, spot gold rose by 2.30% to $4123.21 per ounce, ending the day in an upward trend. For over half of the day, it remained stable around $4060, but quickly rose to nearly $4140 when the US non-farm payroll report was released at 20:30 Beijing time. It then stabilized around $4120. COMEX gold futures rose by 1.22% to $4132.20 per ounce, staying near $4080 before the non-farm payroll report and stabilizing around $4130 afterwards. Spot silver rose by 3.04% to $60.9430 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures rose by 2.87% to $61.340 per ounce. COMEX copper futures rose by 0.18% to $6.1725 per pound.
