Institutions remain cautiously optimistic about Bitcoin, predicting that it will rise to $100,000 by the end of the year.
Bitcoin struggled in the first half of this year, falling 35% since January 1st to reach a new multi-year low of around $58,000. However, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies started strong in July, rebounding to above $61,600 after the job report showed fewer new job additions than analysts had previously expected. Cryptocurrency research firm 21shares stated that they maintain a "cautiously optimistic" outlook for Bitcoin in the second half of 2026, even though the factors that have been keeping prices down are not expected to disappear. "The number of wallets holding Bitcoin continues to grow," the company stated in a report. "Our basic forecast for the end of the year is a rebound to $100,000, rather than breaking the all-time high."
