D.A. Davidson analysts Gil Luria and Lucky Schreiner wrote in a report that the tense relationship between Anthropic and the U.S. Department of Defense highlights the necessity of building a regulatory layer on top of artificial intelligence models, which emphasizes Palantir's advantage. They wrote that companies directly building businesses on top of Anthropic models may face "catastrophic" disruptions due to government restrictions on access, but Palantir can smoothly switch its service underlying models. D.A. Davidson analysts wrote, "We believe this development eliminates the biggest potential threat Palantir faces, which is the idea that companies will turn to Anthropic and OpenAI to solve their biggest problems." Palantir's stock price rose 2.5%.
