Our scientists have revealed the "key puzzle piece" of the evolution of bird tails in our country.

Journalists have learned from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that a team led by researcher Wang Min, in collaboration with the Fujian Institute of Geological Sciences, completed an important study based on Jurassic bird fossils preserved in the Fujian Zhoaihe animal group. Scientists have clarified the key sequence of evolution of the tail in birds, filling in a long-missing puzzle piece in the evolutionary chain of bird tails. The related results were published on July 2 in the international academic journal "Science Advances".
