Multiple MLCC manufacturers have said they are "contemplating raising prices," with the industry expecting prices to rise until the end of 2027.
Some media reported that the passive component company Yageo has notified customers that starting today, they will raise the prices of their entire range of capacitor products, including multilayer ceramic capacitors, aluminum electrolytic capacitors, tantalum capacitors, polymer aluminum capacitors, film capacitors, and super capacitors. This is the largest price increase wave by Yageo in recent years. Previously, overseas MLCC giants such as Murata, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Sunlord Electronics issued price adjustment notices, with price increases for high-capacity MLCCs used in AI servers generally ranging from 15% to 35%. Prices for some scarce models in the spot market have doubled. On the same day, it was learned at the Munich Shanghai Electronics Fair that several MLCC manufacturers are planning to raise prices in the second half of the year.
