Huatai Securities predicts that 51 individual stocks will be included in the Hong Kong Stock Connect in this adjustment.

Huatai Securities released a research report stating that the Hang Seng Index Company may announce the semi-annual index adjustment results on August 25, 2026. All changes will be implemented after the market closes on September 4 and will take effect from September 7. At that time, the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges will adjust the scope of eligible investment targets for the Hong Kong stock connect program accordingly. It is expected that 51 individual stocks will be included in the Hong Kong stock connect program in this adjustment, while 14 individual stocks will be removed. The excessive speculation on the left side of the companies being included in the program is still ongoing, and after these companies are formally included in the Hong Kong stock connect program, there may be significant fluctuations in their stock prices.
