Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development: Actively expand the coverage of government procurement support for green building materials policies.

Recently, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's Standard Quota Division held a national conference on promoting the energy conservation and application of building materials in Changsha, Hunan Province. The meeting emphasized that all regions should focus on problems, aim at the long-term goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in the construction field, adhere to tailored measures, implement scientific strategies, and promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in the construction field in a steady and orderly manner. The meeting also discussed the systematic planning of the development of the green building industry, increasing the promotion and application of high-quality building materials represented by green building materials, actively expanding government procurement support for policies covering green building materials, accelerating the research and development of new building materials such as insulation materials and high-performance concrete, enhancing the insulation, heat insulation, waterproofing, and environmental performance of building materials, and promoting the comprehensive green transformation of urban and rural construction with high quality.
