According to Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, the latest research from Omdia shows that in the first quarter of 2026, the shipment volume of PCs (excluding tablets) in the United States decreased by 7.0% year-on-year, dropping to 15.8 million units, marking the largest year-on-year decline since the third quarter of 2023. This market downturn is mainly attributed to multiple factors, including supply constraints and cost pressures caused by the significant increase in PC memory and storage prices, as well as the early release of demand in the short-term commercial market after the end of the Windows 11 upgrade cycle.
