According to the National Medical Insurance Administration, on July 1, the National Medical Insurance Administration publicly solicited opinions on the "Notice of the General Office of the National Medical Insurance Administration and the Comprehensive Department of the National Medical Products Administration on the Issuance of the Coding Requirements for Traceability Codes of Chinese Herbal Medicine Pieces". To improve the full traceability system of Chinese herbal medicine pieces, enhance the quality and safety assurance capabilities of medicines, and strengthen the supervision and management of the use of medical insurance funds, the National Medical Insurance Administration has organized efforts to conduct research and formulate requirements for the coding of traceability codes for Chinese herbal medicine pieces. Adhering to the basic principles of "practicality, uniqueness, scalability, and versatility," the "Requirements for Coding of Traceability Codes for Chinese Herbal Medicine Pieces" will be jointly issued by the National Medical Products Administration to achieve the goal of "one code for one Chinese herbal medicine piece, traceable throughout the entire process".
