The Oriental Huili Investment Research Institute stated in its mid-year outlook that it is expected the Federal Reserve will remain unchanged in the next few meetings. The institute said: "With the monetary policy stance now essentially back to neutral, we believe the Federal Reserve is most likely to remain unchanged in the next few meetings." However, Oriental Huili Asset Management stated that if energy costs rise and spread to broader prices and economic growth accelerates, the risk of hiking interest rates will increase. The institute said: "We expect the trend of slowing inflation to resume in 2027, allowing the Federal Reserve to cut rates next year."
