Many DeepSeek API users have confirmed receiving the price adjustment email: the peak pricing for Version 4 will double.

On June 29th, several developers confirmed that they have received an upgrade notification email from DeepSeek. The email indicates that DeepSeek V4 official version is scheduled to be launched in mid-July, and will simultaneously adjust the API pricing strategy, introducing a peak-valley pricing mechanism to better allocate resources and improve service stability. According to the email, the prices for V4 Pro and V4 Flash models will remain unchanged during normal hours, but the API prices will be adjusted to twice the normal price during peak hours. Peak hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm daily. Specifically, during peak hours, the cache hit input price for V4 Pro is 0.05 yuan per million Tokens, the cache miss input price is 6 yuan per million Tokens, and the output price is 12 yuan per million Tokens. For V4 Flash during peak hours, the cache hit input price is 0.04 yuan per million Tokens, the cache miss input price is 2 yuan per million Tokens, and the output price is 4 yuan per million Tokens.
