The office of the State Council Earthquake Relief Headquarters and the working group dispatched by the Ministry of Emergency Management rushed to the earthquake-stricken area in Yibin, Sichuan.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Gaoxian County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province at 0:12 on June 29th, with a focal depth of 6 kilometers. After the earthquake, the State Council's Office of Earthquake Emergency Response and the Ministry of Emergency Management activated the national level four emergency response for earthquake disaster, and dispatched working groups to the affected area to guide the response and disposal.
