Domestic ice maker demand in Europe has surged! There are currently 42,500 related ice-making companies.

According to reports, a rare heatwave is raging across Europe. Driven by the strong growth of cross-border e-commerce channels, the demand for cooling products made in China has surged. Some related workers introduced that, driven by the sustained high temperatures in Europe, the demand for small household and outdoor portable ice makers has soared. Data from Qichacha shows that as of June 29th, there are 42,500 ice-making related companies in China. In the past decade, the registration quantity of ice-making related companies has continued to increase, with the annual registration quantity surpassing 10,000 for the first time in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 62.19% to 11,900 companies, reaching double peak values in registration quantity and registration growth rate in nearly a decade. As of now, 5,400 companies have been registered this year. In terms of existing companies, from the perspective of years in operation, most ice-making related companies were established in the past three years, with the majority having been in operation for 1-3 years, accounting for 31.44%. In terms of distribution of registered capital, most ice-making related companies are lightweight enterprises, with companies with registered capital less than 2 million RMB accounting for over 80%.
