The Australian Labor Party is leading in the polls.
Given the rise of the right-wing political party One Nation since the beginning of this year, political polls in Australia are becoming increasingly interesting. A Newspoll survey conducted last week and published in The Australian on Monday showed that the ruling Labor government, after announcing modifications to its unpopular tax reform plan in May, once again led over One Nation. Support for the Labor Party increased from 30% to 33%, surpassing One Nation, whose support dropped from 31% to 29%. At the same time, support for the conservative Liberal-National Coalition reached a record low of 17%, while the Greens' support was at 13%.
