The China Earthquake Administration has initiated a level three emergency response to the earthquake in Gaoming County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province.

According to the official results from the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred at a depth of 6 kilometers in Gaoxian County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province at 12:12am on June 29, 2026. The China Earthquake Administration has activated a Level 3 emergency response.
