From January to May, Shenzhen's 3D printing equipment production increased by 60.8%.

Recently, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Statistics released the economic data of Shenzhen from January to May 2026, and the city's economic operation maintained a steady and progressive development trend. From January to May, Shenzhen's industrial production maintained a fast growth, with the value added of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size increasing by 8.8% year-on-year. By sector, the value added of the mining industry increased by 1.9% year-on-year, manufacturing by 9.5%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water by 4.4%. Among the major categories of industries, the manufacturing of computers, communications, and other electronic devices grew by 12.8%, specialized equipment manufacturing by 12.7%, electricity and heat production and supply by 11.4%, and metal products manufacturing by 8.4%. The output of high-tech products maintained rapid growth, with the production of 3D printing equipment, industrial robots, and lithium-ion battery products increasing by 60.8%, 47.2%, and 33.9% respectively.
