The International Medical Innovation and Exchange Association was established in Hong Kong to advance work in six major focus areas.
On June 26th, the International Healthcare Innovation and Exchange Association held a press conference in Hong Kong to announce the official establishment of the platform. IHIEA co-founder and CEO Lu Haikuan stated that the organization will work in six key areas: promoting the upgrade of cross-border medical services, improving the overall standards of cross-border medical services in terms of processes, standards, service experience, and compliance; establishing an international hub for continuing medical education to promote the convergence of cutting-edge medical knowledge, clinical norms, and professional training in Hong Kong; building a regional medical innovation transformation ecosystem; advancing the construction of the GMEC assessment and certification system, collaborating with relevant institutions to explore the establishment of a benchmarkable, quantifiable, and sustainable framework for evaluating outstanding medical centers across regions; exploring a cooperation framework for the "International Medical Data Harbor", promoting high-quality medical data cooperation based on the principles of availability, control, traceability, and accountability; and leading in the development of emerging medical technologies and industry standards, promoting the construction of standard systems, ethical consensus, and responsibility frameworks.
