A recent survey in Japan shows that nearly 2,300 kinds of food prices will increase in July this year, a significant increase compared to the previous month. It is expected that the total number of food items that will increase in price in Japan for the whole year will exceed 10,000 again. The Japan Empire Database Corporation conducted a survey of 195 major food and beverage producers nationwide, asking about their intentions to raise prices. The results show that in July, there will be 2,269 food items in Japan that will increase in price, including bread, instant noodles, and processed foods. Among them, the price increase for bread is between 3% and 9%, for instant noodles it is between 4% and 11%, and for processed foods such as sausages and canned goods, the price increase is between 2% and 30%.
